To help us maintain & advance our strong position in the industry, Smadex is looking for a growth-oriented Client Growth Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of clients across the US & Canada.
Your mission:
- As a Client Growth Manager, you will be the first point of contact for an assigned book of North American clients with your main focus to grow revenue and nurture client relationships. The ultimate goal is ensuring long-term client retention and consistently renewed advertising budgets.
- Your day to day activities to enable customer growth include monitoring the performance of user acquisition, retargeting & CTV campaigns, collaborating closely with Sales & Ad Operations teammates to ensure alignment with client goals and performance, while facilitating meaningful client touch points via regular meetings.
- You’ll be responsible for identifying key growth initiatives to expand your portfolio of business and build long-standing customer relationships. The right candidate will be excited about the evolving ad tech work, is adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced dynamic team, and considers a growth-oriented mindset part of their DNA.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and grow a portfolio of direct clients and/or advertising agencies, across a diverse set of verticals.
- Engage in proactive and regular attention towards a portfolio of accounts, monitoring, analyzing, and suggesting optimizations to AdOps in support of client goals.
- Add value to customer relationships by leading weekly or bi-weekly check-in calls, building trust, and nurturing the relationship while discussing campaign performance to drive revenue growth.
- Anticipate client needs, hear out client pain points, and regularly spot growth opportunities - thinking outside of the box to recommend upsell/cross sell opportunities based on Smadex product offerings and expertise.
- Negotiate client billing confirmations, any disputes that may arise, and invoicing on a monthly basis.
- Regularly produce & present Quarterly Business Reviews for key clients.
- Produce campaign wrap-up & post mortem reports for clients that do churn (pause spend).
- Semi-regular travel is required to attend key industry events and/or to visit clients with the goal of nurturing and growing the relationship.
- Primary daily tools used: Google Suite, Excel, Slack, Gmail, Notion, Salesforce & Smadex DSP.
Skills and requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2-3+ years experience in a similar Account Management role, preferably at a DSP.
- Programmatic advertising experience is required.
- Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory.
- Persuasive negotiation skills are critical .
- Must have some technical knowledge about the programmatic/ad tech landscape: MMPs, tracking links, postbacks, APIs, SKAN/ATT, DSPs, SSPs/Exchanges, and other similar suppliers.
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, growth-oriented, disciplined, and highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner.
- Must be excited to work with global, remote teams, alongside a variety of cultures & nationalities, and willing to facilitate calls during corresponding business hours (primarily with Barcelona, Spain HQ timezone).
- Must be willing and able to travel (valid passport required).
