SMADEX is a Barcelona-born Demand Side Platform, delivering performance and transparency in programmatic for clients in America, Europe, and Asia. We are growing our team to become one of the best and biggest DSPs in the ecosystem.

The role:

As a Client Growth Manager, you will be the first point of contact for an assigned book of clients, responsible for nurturing long-term relationships and driving revenue growth through performance marketing. Your focus will be to retain clients, secure consistently renewed budgets, and expand business across mobile user acquisition, retargeting, and Connected TV (CTV) campaigns.

You’ll collaborate closely with Sales and Ad Operations teams to ensure performance aligns with client objectives, while proactively identifying growth opportunities, delivering strategic insights, and becoming a trusted advisor to your clients.

This is a hybrid role based in the Asia time zone, with a minimum requirement of two days per week in our Manila office. The position offers the flexibility of working from home for the remainder of the week, with occasional travel required for client visits and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Growth & Management

  • Lead, manage, and grow a portfolio of direct advertisers and agencies across a diverse set of verticals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize client campaigns with AdOps support to meet performance and ROI goals.
  • Identify, recommend, and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities across Smadex’s solutions (UA, retargeting, CTV).

Client Relationship Building

  • Serve as a proactive partner: anticipate client needs, resolve pain points, and establish long-standing trust.
  • Lead regular client calls (weekly/bi-weekly) to review campaign performance and explore new opportunities.
  • Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to showcase results, growth potential, and strategic recommendations.
  • Produce campaign wrap-ups and post-mortems for clients who pause or churn, with clear next-step strategies.

Commercial Responsibilities

  • Negotiate billing confirmations and resolve disputes on a monthly basis.
  • Actively participate in revenue forecasting and reporting.
  • Maintain senior relationships within client organizations, particularly in SEA’s largest app-focused companies.

Collaboration & Representation

  • Work cross-functionally with global support teams (Barcelona HQ and other international offices).
  • Represent Smadex at regional industry events, client visits, and networking opportunities.

Skills & Requirements

Experience

  • Min 3 years of experience managing client relationships and driving performance marketing campaigns. Proven experience scaling accounts or optimizing media spend is highly advantageous.
  • Prior DSP or programmatic advertising experience is required.
  • Good familiarity with the mobile app ecosystem, including UA, retargeting, agency landscapes, and suppliers.

Technical Competence

  • Sound understanding of ad tech concepts: MMPs, tracking links, postbacks, APIs, SDK integration, SKAN/ATT, DSPs, SSPs/Exchanges.
  • Ability to solve first-degree technical issues and collaborate effectively with AdOps/tech teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel (analysis and reporting).

Communication & Leadership

  • Exceptional Communication: Fluent in verbal and written English; proficiency in Mandarin, or a second language is highly advantageous.
  • Strategic Influence: Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to translate data into compelling insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Executive Presence: Highly confident professional capable of building, managing, and scaling relationships at the C-suite and senior leadership levels.
