Your mission:

As In-House Attorney, you will support the continued growth of Smadex within the digital marketing environment, ensuring that all the legal and privacy matters are fully compliant and up-to-date with the current regulations and industry standards.

This position is located in Barcelona!

Role's tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class privacy-related guidance to Smadex with a view to ensuring full compliance with the current and upcoming privacy laws and regulations including GDPR in Europe, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar regulations in other countries
  • Review and draft all kinds of agreements, e.g. business & commercial, collaboration, professional services, etc. 
  • Work cross-functionally with our different teams handling complex and high-profile issues
  • Assist with the preparation of legal reports and other necessary information for business decisions
  • Provide general legal advice and assistance to all in-house departments
  • Learn and understand the data flows of Smadex and its roles when processing the data
  • Learn, analyze and be able to differentiate the main roles of the subjects involved in the digital marketing industry to acquire a well-understanding of the specifications of the Smadex Demand Side Platform
  • Support to the HR department in the field of labour law and assistance in the preparation of employment documentation

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law/Attorney
  • 7+ years experience working at a multinational company or reputable law firm in data protection, compliance and contracting
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, both in verbal and written form is a MUST
  • High expertise in data protection regulations (GDPR/Spanish Organic Law/CPRA, etc.)
  • Data Protection Officer title is a plus
  • Familiarity with the digital marketing industry is a plus
  • Attention to detail and good teamwork skills
